Global Engagement

My academic work has been deeply informed by my extensive international experience, which includes my current position and collaboration with Prof. Dr. Suzana Alpsancar on the translation of Christoph Hubig's The Art of the Possible, Vol. 1: Philosophy of Technology as Reflection on Mediality (the original German version is available open access here as a downloadable PDF). My international experience also includes numerous academic exchanges, research collaborations, integrating impactful international learning experiences into my courses, and teaching English in Germany, France, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic. These experiences have shaped my research interests in post-Kantian German and contemporary French philosophy while helping me attain fluency in German and French, which I use daily in my professional and private life.

International Research Collaborations



As a member of the international and interdisciplinary Cyborg Workers organizing team​, I am contributing to the development of academic, public-facing research collaborations that address themes related to the future of labor in conjunction with AI, automation and the gig economy. In February 2025, we organized the Cyborg Workers 2.0 conference entitled "The Past, Present and Future of Automated Labour: The Social and Environmental Costs of Big Tech," which was hosted by the European Trade Union Institute (ETUI) in Brussels.

​In October 2026, the Cyborg Workers 3.0 conference, entitled "Digital sovereignty at work - governance, resistance and participation," will again be hosted by the ETUI in Brussels in collaboration with the Digital Artificial Intelligence Symposium (DAISY) and the Norwegian Research School on Digitilisation, Culture and Society (DIGIT).
